Heartthrob

Hey everyone! Sorry for the silence over the last week. I've been back at home celebrating my brother's return from Sweden, but I have a whole whack of fun posts planned for you coming up.

In the meantime...
I wanted to let everyone know that Tegan and Sara's new album Heartthrob comes out on January 29th! I have been a huge T+S fan since I was a wee baby of 14, so I'm pretty excited. You can hear the whole thing online today at a variety of sources. (I chose Rolling Stone for no particular reason.)

I'm interested to hear what people think about this record because it's a pretty big departure into the pop realm for T+S. Personally, I am really fascinated with pop music and have overcome any shame associated with openly enjoying a Katy Perry song, so their album comes at a great time for me. To my ears Heartthrob is still quintessentially Tegan and Sara, so I'm hoping die-hard fans give it a chance before denouncing them sell-outs.

Here's the big single, "Closer"...seriously, who doesn't love a good pop diddy you can dance to?
